Record a visit on iPhone

Permissions

The first time you record, iOS asks for microphone access. Allow it, or open Settings → Notra and enable Microphone if you previously denied it.

Record

  1. Open Record.
  2. Enter a patient name and choose a template. If Patient name lookup is on in Account, matching names from your other visits appear as you type.
  3. Tap the record control and keep the phone nearby during the visit.
  4. Keep the app open when you can. Background audio is supported, and the app will not sign you out in the middle of a visit.
  5. Stop when the visit is over and wait until upload starts.

You should only need to sign in (email, password, and authenticator if your account requires it) once a day. Face ID may ask again the next day. It will not interrupt a recording.

If upload stalls

Audio is saved on the device first. If the connection is weak, Notes may show “Waiting to upload.” Keep the app open on a stronger network, or tap Retry. The app will also keep trying on its own.

Do not delete the note until the upload has finished, or the recording on this device may be lost.
