Set up two-factor authentication

Paid and complimentary accounts use time-based one-time passwords (TOTP). You will need an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password. Trial accounts skip this until you subscribe.

Enroll

  1. After you subscribe, Notra opens authenticator setup automatically. You can also open it later from Account if setup is incomplete.
  2. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app, or type the secret key if you cannot scan.
  3. Enter the 6-digit code from the app to confirm.
  4. Save the backup codes in a password manager or other safe place. Each code works once if you lose the authenticator.

Signing in later

After your password, enter the current 6-digit code. If you cannot open the authenticator, use a backup code instead.

If you lose both the authenticator and the backup codes, contact support from this page. We will verify it is your account before resetting MFA. Do not send patient information with that request.
